Welcome to Our Webpage!

We would like to thank all those who attended our conference for making this a successful and memorable event. Watch for the next winter issue of biography, i.e. 24.1 (Winter 2001)--it will be devoted to the Autobiography and Changing Identities Conference!

Unfortunately, we were not able to accept all of the excellent papers submitted to us. Please remember that the editors of  a/b: autobiography studies [http://facstaff.uww.edu/hoganj/ab.htm] and biography [www.hawaii.edu/biograph] also invited submissions at the conference for their regular issues.

Following up on her earlier call for papers, Jacqueline McLean at Texas Tech University Press sent us the following message:

"Jacqueline McLean is in the process of re-framing her collection of essays.
As soon as she has a new focus finalized, she will post it with us. She apologizes for the change and trusts that contributors understand the tapestry that is publishing."

"Autobiography and Changing Identities" has been generously sponsored by the following:
Research account of S. Neuman
Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada
VP Research, University of British Columbia

We would also like to thank the Department of English at UBC for all its support.
