Sex Before Sex
In this course we shall look at a number of texts that deal with sex, but that deal with it in seventeenth-century ways. As we shall see, such questions as what does and does not count as sex, how sex relates to other aspects of life, and which sex is licit and which illicit were matters of concern then as now, but the questions were framed differently and answered or not answered differently.

Requirements:
- Four short essays, each worth 20%
The essays should be 5-6 pages long. The due dates are January 24th, February 21st, March 14th, and April 6th.
- Final examination 20%
